Using Bunk Beds to Create Extra Storage Space
One of the main reasons why people buy twin over twin bunk beds for their children is so that they can save space in the bedrooms. It’s fantastic being able to save the space of an extra bed, and replace two single beds with something that’s only the width and length of one single bed. When you buy bunk beds, you can save space and make storage space as much as possible, so that your house looks tidy, clean and free from any mess and clutter.
Although they may be a bit more expensive to buy, buying beds with storage space already built into them can save you lots of space in the room. If you’ve got storage space underneath the bed, you don’t have to buy extra wardrobes and shelves to store your possessions (or all your kids’ toys!). This will save you money and space in the long term, and that extra few dollars will seem insignificant compared to the price of an extra bookshelf or several toy boxes that you may have had to buy.
Even if you don’t have drawers underneath the beds specifically for storage, you will still have extra space to store things because of the very design of the average set of bunk beds. They are designed with children in mind, and therefore, manufacturers know that space needs to be saved and parents have to make room for all their kids’ belongings. If there’s nothing but space underneath the bed, you can still make your own storage by putting things under the bed. You have the length and width of a full bed in which to store whatever you need. The fantastic thing about doing this is that visitors and any of your children’s friends who visit the bedroom won’t have to look at all the clutter, because it can be tidily place away.
